The Conewago Township Planning Commission held their monthly meeting on Monday, February 24, 2003. Those present were:

The meeting was called to order by Chairman Whitmeyer at 7:31 P.M. The Agenda items were reviewed. No additions.
MINUTES - January 27, 2003 - A motion by Coble second by Grubb to approve the minutes after the spelling of Bachmanville and Ziegler are corrected. Motion carried.
Old Business:
CONEWAGO PLACE - Final Land Development Plan - 424 Nye Rd. Hummelstown. Zoned - Residential Suburban
Conewago Place is proposing to add a 3,094 sq ft addition to their present building which will be used mostly for office, storage, conference room, computer lab and bedroom space. This is a non-conforming use building and may only increase by 50%. The maximum number of beds allowed will be 69 beds. Not sure where the Planning Module is at this time.
WAIVER - Preliminary Plan Submission - A motion by Whitmeyer second by Coble to recommend approval of the waiver of Preliminary Plan Submission, Section 403.1. Motion canied.
PLAN - A motion by Grubb second by Coble to recommend approval of the plan subject to the comments on the Township Engineer's review dated 2/24/03 and subject to Dauphin County review dated 1/24/03. We are concerned with the number of beds allowed in the non-conforming use of this facility. They are allowed to have a total of 69 beds. Motion carried.
BATZ RE-SUBDIVISION (HAROLD AND LILLIAN BATZ) - (PRELIMINARY/FINAL SUBDIVISION PLAN (grounds toward Route 743) - Schoolhouse and Bachmanville Roads, Hershey - Zoned Residential Country
The client requested a 150 day extension due to not being able to do soil testings on the 2 lots at this time. A motion by Whitmever second by Grubb to grant the 150 day extension which will take them to July 24, 2003. Motion Carried.
BATZ/GORNIK - PRELIMINARY/FINAL SUBDI VISION PLAN (grounds toward Campbelltown) - Schoolhouse and Bachmanville Road, Hershey - Zoned Residential Country
This is a 27.21 acre parcel being subdivided into 2 parcels (10.8854 acres and 16.1310 acres).
WAIVERS - A motion by Grubb second by Whitmeyer to recommend the following waivers:
PLAN - A motion by Whitmeyer second by Coble to recommend approval of the plan subject to the comments on the Township Engineer's review dated February 24, 2003 and subject to the comments of Dauphin County's review dated 1/24/03. Motion carried.
New Business:
GARY W & PATRICIA A BURK - Final Minor Re-Subdivision Plan, 2840 Chestnut Road, Elizabethtown. Zoned - Residential Suburban
This parcel is a 4 lot subdivision. 1 lot will be an add on to an adjacent landowner and the other 3 lots will be new residential lots along Chestnut Road.
WAIVERS: A motion by Whitmeyer second by Czuday to recommend approval of the following waivers:
PLAN - A motion by Whitmeyer second by Czuday to recommend approval of the plan subject to the Township Engineer's comments dated 2/24/03 and Dauphin County's comments dated 2/20/03. Motion carried.
The next meeting will be March 31, 2003.
A motion by Coble second by Grubb to adjourn at 9:07 P.M. Motion carried.
